IRIS™ 1000 DFG-based Mid-infrared Laser System

System Overview

NovaWave has developed the 1st commercially available turnkey mid-infrared difference generation frequency (DFG-based) laser system. Novawave’s new, room-temperature laser source, the IRIS™1000 is a single frequency, frequency agile mid-infrared laser.

NovaWave’s new IRIS 1000™ is a single longitudinal and transverse mode laser system that provides access to the signature C-H, N-H, and O-H stretch region of the middle infrared. The cryogen-free laser system features external modulation capability, compact remote laser head with a built-in alignment laser and an on-board touch screen computer control with Ethernet capability for remote control.

System Features

• MHz line width, tunable, TEM00 mode mid-IR laser light in 3.3 micron region
• Tunability of approximately 100 cm-1 per system (with user-replaceable telecom DFB diode lasers)
• 100μW to mW-level output power configurations available
• Built-in co-propagating visible alignment laser
