NovaWave introduces the SFL-PM series continuous wave (cw) single frequency fiber laser modules. The SFL-PM family of fiber lasers presently includes 1-micron region versions, featuring all polarization maintaining architectures with output powers up to 2W and linewidths of less than 100kHz. The SFL series provides a less expensive and higher power alternative to DFB fiber lasers. NovaWave’s new SFL series fiber lasers produce single longitudinal and transverse mode laser radiation in a compact module that includes the driver electronics and on-board diagnostics. The 1064nm systems are available at standard as well as custom wavelengths across the Yb lasing region (1050-1100nm). Modules require external heat-sinking for output powers above 200mW.
The SFL series lasers are suitable for applciations that require narrow linewidth, stable output power, high polarization purity and wavelength stability. The modules are suitable for numerous applications including remote sensing, coherent LIDAR, chemical sensing, and can be used as seed sources for higher power fiber lasers. The modules can also be purchased with our recently developed (external) high power fiber-coupled isolators, and custom wavelengths can be obtained for a modest additional cost.
