EDFA / YDFA PM Fiber Laser Module

NovaWave introduces our recently developed polarization maintaining (PM) fiber laser and fiber amplifier modules. The Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier /Yterbium Doped Fiber Amplifier EDFA/YDFA-PM series presently includes 1.06 micron and 1.55 micron region versions, featuring all polarization maintaining architectures with output powers up to 2W. Our single frequency fiber laser modules include versions with linewidths ranging from less than 100kHz to several MHz in both the Yb and Er lasing regions. The SFL-PM series products provide a less expensive and higher power alternative to DFB fiber lasers operating in these same regions. NovaWave’s fiber laser modules produce single longitudinal and transverse mode laser radiation in a compact package that includes the driver electronics and on-board diagnostics. SFL-PM series systems are available at standard as well as custom wavelengths across the Yb and Er lasing regions. Modules require external heat-sinking for output powers above 200mW.

The SFL series lasers are suitable for applciations that require narrow linewidth, stable output power, high polarization purity and wavelength stability. The amplifier modules include single and dual stage amplification versions depending on the seed power supplied. The modules can be purchased with our recently developed (external) high power fiber-coupled isolators in the 1-micron region, while 1.5 micron sytems include single or dual stage isolation
