Instrument Software Engineer |
We are presently seeking a versatile software engineer with experience and proficiency in the following areas:
Required skills/experience:
LabVIEW: You are able to 'own' large-scale and complex projects that include high-speed data-acquisition, real-time data-analysis, feedback control, and interfacing with laboratory instruments. You are familiar with code-interface/call-library nodes, DAQmx API, VISA functions, and the 8.X build process. LabVIEW certification, a plus.
C/C++: You have a solid understanding of low-level C programming, object-oriented design in C++, and are able to build executables and libraries using Visual Studio 2005 (Windows) and GNU/open-source tools (Linux). You will be expected to immediately maintain/modify/extend code for a gSOAP (in C++) server for an embedded Linux system and a real-time data-analysis DLL (in C) that includes standard numerical recipes (e.g., non-linear fitting) and various algorithms from scientific papers. You have excellent debugging skills using gdb and MS-VS debugger.
Desired skills/experience:
Web2.0: You should be able to maintain/modify GUI's implemented using AJAX and HTML.
Linux: You would be responsible for the administration of local and remote Linux servers for website, email, filesharing, backup, VMware emulation of XP servers, etc.
